No ad-tech stack in the current build.

No sale of personal information in the current build.

Creator work remains yours or belongs to the rights holder who owns it.

1. Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to Inksiders and the websites, pages, features, and services that link to this Policy.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, advertising networks, payment processors, hosting providers, platforms, search engines, archives, bots, external apps, or other services that we do not control. If you follow links from Inksiders to another website or service, that third party's own privacy policy applies.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at: info@inksiders.com

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the service, and limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the platform.

  • Public contact email, if you choose to provide or display one
  • Account email, if used for account access or service communications
  • Country, availability, languages
  • Avatar image and banner image
  • Accent color and profile-related display choices or preferences

Public profile fields are optional unless the product clearly marks them as required. If you add information to a public profile field or choose to make it visible, that information may be shown publicly.

  • Manga and comic titles, descriptions, metadata, genres and tags
  • Cover images and uploaded pages and images
  • Updates, captions, announcements, posts, comments and replies

D. Authentication, session, and security information

  • Session identifiers, session cookies, CSRF tokens, visitor tokens
  • Login events, password submissions processed for authentication
  • Security logs, logout and session expiration events

Passwords are processed for authentication. We do not intend to store plain-text passwords. Passwords should be stored only in hashed form using appropriate password-hashing protections.

E. Technical and log information

  • IP address, browser type, device information, operating system
  • Referring pages, pages visited, dates and times of access
  • Error logs, upload logs, server logs
  • Approximate location inferred from technical data such as IP address, where applicable

F. Communications

If you contact us, we may collect your email address, message content, and any information you choose to include in your request.

3. What Is Public on Inksiders

Inksiders is a public publishing and social platform. Certain information is public by design, including:

  • Your handle and display name
  • Your bio, avatar, and banner, if provided or made visible
  • Your public contact email, country, languages, and availability, if provided or made visible
  • Published manga/comic works, cover images, and uploaded pages that are publicly published
  • Updates, captions, comments, and replies
  • Visible engagement counts including likes, saves, comments, and views

If you do not want information to be public, do not add it to a public profile field, do not publish it, or remove it from the relevant public area where removal tools are available.

4. Public Content and Third-Party Use

When you choose to publish content or make information visible on Inksiders, you understand that other users, visitors, search engines, bots, archives, websites, apps, screenshots, browser tools, or external services may view, copy, save, screenshot, index, link to, quote, reference, share, download, or otherwise use that public content outside of Inksiders.

Inksiders does not control what other users, visitors, search engines, bots, archives, websites, apps, or third parties do with content or information that you choose to make public.

You should not publish content, personal information, contact information, images, pages, comments, or other material that you do not want others to access or potentially use outside the service.

Publishing content on Inksiders does not transfer ownership of your content to Inksiders. Your content remains yours or belongs to the rights holder who owns it.

5. How We Use Information

  • Create and manage accounts; authenticate users and protect sessions
  • Host creator profiles, public pages, manga/comic works, images, pages, updates, captions, and comments
  • Display public content and public profile fields
  • Count likes, saves, comments, views, and other engagement activity
  • Prevent duplicate or abusive interactions where applicable
  • Moderate abuse, spam, illegal content, harmful behavior, and policy violations
  • Investigate complaints and enforce our Terms of Use
  • Respond to user requests and support messages
  • Maintain backups, logs, service integrity, and operational security
  • Debug errors and improve site performance
  • Comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests

6. Cookies, Sessions, and Similar Technologies

In the current build, Inksiders uses cookies and similar identifiers that are necessary to operate the service, including:

  • Session cookies for login state
  • Session identifiers and CSRF protection tokens
  • Visitor tokens used for visitor-level interactions such as likes, saves, and views
  • Security and anti-abuse identifiers

These technologies help us keep users signed in, protect requests, prevent abuse, and operate basic social and publishing features.

Inksiders may use Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible security service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., to help protect forms from automated abuse. Turnstile may use cookies or similar technologies to verify that form submissions are made by humans. Cloudflare's privacy practices for Turnstile are described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

7. Advertising, Analytics, and Optional Tracking

In the current build, Inksiders does not use an active advertising technology stack and does not currently state that it sells personal information.

If advertising, analytics, measurement, or ad-personalization tools are enabled in the future, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, pixels, local storage, or similar technologies to serve ads, measure ad performance, limit repeat impressions, detect fraud, and personalize advertising based on visits to Inksiders and other websites. Where required by law, non-essential cookies or tracking technologies should not run until the visitor has been given an appropriate consent choice.

Users can learn more about Google advertising technologies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and manage Google ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com. Interest-based advertising choices are also available through the Digital Advertising Alliance WebChoices tool at optout.aboutads.info.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information in the current build. We may share information in limited circumstances:

A. Public sharing by design

Public profiles, published works, comments, updates, visible engagement counts, and other public areas of the service may be visible to other users and visitors.

B. Service providers

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate Inksiders, such as providers for hosting, storage, content delivery, database services, security, logging, backups, email delivery, analytics (if enabled), advertising or measurement (if enabled), fraud prevention, and technical support.

C. Legal, safety, and rights protection

We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to legal process, protect the rights or safety of Inksiders or users, investigate abuse or fraud, enforce our Terms of Use, or respond to intellectual property requests.

D. Business changes

If Inksiders is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections where required.

9. Ownership of Creator Content

Inksiders does not own creator content merely because it is uploaded, submitted, or published through the service. Creators and rights holders keep the rights they already have in their manga, comics, pages, characters, artwork, covers, stories, text, comments, images, and related materials.

Inksiders may process, store, display, format, resize, cache, moderate, and deliver creator content only as needed to operate, provide, secure, support, and display the service.

10. Retention

  • Profile fields remain until you edit, remove, or delete them, or until your account is deleted.
  • Published works and public content remain until removed by you or by Inksiders under applicable rules.
  • Uploads tied to replaced profile images or deleted posts may be removed from active display when replaced or deleted.
  • Comments, likes, saves, views, and related records may be retained while needed to operate engagement features, prevent abuse, enforce rules, or satisfy legal obligations.
  • Session data lasts until logout, expiration, or server cleanup.
  • Security logs, server logs, and backups may remain for a limited period after deletion from the active service.

Account deletion or content deletion may remove information from public view before all copies are removed from backups, logs, caches, moderation records, or archival systems.

11. Your Choices and Rights

You may update or remove many profile fields directly inside the service where those fields are editable. You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account.

To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at: info@inksiders.com

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to Inksiders, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know, access, correct, delete, object to or restrict certain processing, opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling, withdraw consent, or appeal certain privacy request decisions.

We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights that apply to you.

12. Advertising Choices

In the current build, Inksiders does not use an active advertising technology stack. If advertising or personalized ads are enabled in the future, users may have choices depending on their location, browser, device, consent settings, and the advertising partners involved.

  • Google My Ad Center
  • Google advertising information
  • Digital Advertising Alliance WebChoices

13. Children's Privacy

Inksiders is not intended for children under 13. Because Inksiders does not currently provide a COPPA parental-consent workflow, children under 13 should not create an account, use the service, or submit personal information.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account or submitted personal information, we will take reasonable steps to terminate the account and remove associated personal information from active systems.

If you believe that a child under 13 has submitted personal information to Inksiders, contact us at: info@inksiders.com

14. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate for the current build of the service, including server-side sessions, CSRF protection, password hashing, session expiration, basic upload restrictions, operational logs, access controls, and security review and abuse monitoring.

No website, application, database, or transmission system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and for keeping your login credentials confidential.

15. Data Breaches

If we discover a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and take appropriate steps based on the nature of the incident. If notice is required by applicable law, we will notify affected users, regulators, or other parties as required. Notifications may be sent to the email address associated with your account or provided through the service.

16. International Users

Inksiders may be operated from, hosted in, or supported by service providers located in different countries. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in countries where privacy and data protection laws may differ from those in your location. Where applicable law requires specific safeguards for international transfers, we will use appropriate measures required by that law.

17. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Signals

In the current build, Inksiders does not use an active advertising technology stack. If future advertising, analytics, sale/share, targeted advertising, or profiling features are added, Inksiders may need to evaluate and respond to legally recognized browser-based opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where required by applicable law.

18. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Inksiders changes. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the service, by email, or by updating the effective date above. Your continued use of Inksiders after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the updated Policy, unless applicable law requires a different form of notice or consent.

19. Voluntary Support, Payments, and Advertising

Inksiders is and will remain free to use for creators and readers. We do not charge users to access, publish, or read content. Optional financial support (e.g., donations or subscriptions via PayPal) is entirely voluntary and has no effect on your access to the platform. We never store payment card numbers or financial account credentials — all payment processing is handled entirely by the third-party payment provider (PayPal). In the future, Inksiders may generate revenue through advertising displayed on the platform; if and when advertising is enabled, it will be disclosed and any non-essential tracking required for advertising will be subject to your consent choices as described in Section 6.

20. Contact

Privacy questions, account deletion requests, data requests, child-safety privacy reports, or other privacy-related requests should be sent to:

info@inksiders.com

This policy describes the current codebase and service behavior. It should be reviewed by counsel before broader commercial launch or expansion into jurisdictions with additional legal requirements.
